I used to wonder why I could sell. I could never understand why what was somewhat easy for me, was difficult for other people. As I moved into management and became responsible for not only my success, but their success as well, it all came to a head. How in the world could I—who had no idea what made me a good salesman—mentor and manage others on how to achieve success? That is where Lushin fits our business. They provided the template that everyone could work off of. We all speak the same sales language. We all understand the ingredients that are needed to make ourselves and each other successful.
Many of you will read the above and say, “OK, typical recommendation, I get it.” Let me go on. Lushin is really deeper than sales. It is about people. Every day, we interact with our families, our friends, our peers, our bosses, our customers….all people. Everything we learn and do at Lushin is about how to deal with people. Wouldn’t you love to know the best way to answer your wife when she says, “I don’t know honey, what do you want for dinner?” How about the uncomfortable conversation you had with a neighbor over their dog “doing business” in your yard. Did you walk away from that with a stronger or weaker relationship? How about motivating your teenagers to do what you asked them to? How good are you at “selling” them your point of view?
Lushin is about learning life skills that will enhance your sales performance. The only way to sell things without tricks or “moves” is to understand yourself and other people. Any time that you spend working with Lushin—and I mean a five minute phone call for help to deal with a guy who just told you off because you have been leaving a voice message in his mailbox every day for a month…is worth your time. Since joining the Lushin training personally I have found a system that works to the core, this is not a “quick fix” or band-aid philosophy and the staff is always accessible to help with the underlying issues we sometimes are unaware we even have.We invited Chuck to speak at our national conference during that time he challenged, enlightened and “lit a fire” in some that the fire was out. I highly recommend Lushin training ONLY if you are willing to commit to the system and use it.

We have had the same business for the last 18 years and although we have consistent progress, we were hammered in the recession that began in the fall of 2008. Our failure, we did a poor job in preparing our sales people for the drastic change in economic conditions. We had to change our management philosophy on sales training if we expected a different outcome.
We interviewed various trainers and hired Aaron Prickel of Lushin & Associates. Lushin and John Wooden have a lot in common, they both believe in training and re-enforcing the basics to build a winning team. In 90 days, Aaron has provided the tools to evaluate the people we have, helped us in the hiring process, given us guidance and leadership on setting up a strong system, and provided the bi-weekly energy and training to get our team growing. Revenue is up 17% and we expect continued improvement as the months progress.
